Happy birthday wishes to Suzie Copeland, Kelli Turnipseed, Ashley Delay, Blake Copeland, Tyler Delay, Kraig Copeland and Misty Jenkins.
Hayden Valley Elementary School hosted a Build-A-Book event last Thursday. There was a large turnout, and everybody had a great time making their own books to take home.
The Goodtimes 4-H club had its monthly meeting Feb. 21. The meeting was held at the Monger's Ranch, where there was sledding, horse and sleigh rides. The members made homemade chili, side dishes and desserts.
The Routt County CattleWomen's Association is taking applications for its annual scholarships, for high school seniors and students already enrolled in college to continue their educations. To apply, contact counselors at local high schools. Or those interested can call Laurie Hallenbeck at 276-4152.
There's still time to sign up for the third- through 12th-grade camp hosted by Excel Wrestling and Steve Knight. The deadline to register for the two-day camp is Friday. Call Kathy Hockett at 276-3741 for more information or to register.
The second-annual Routt County Fair Bunkhouse Bull Session, a poetry contest and dinner, is April 16. It benefits any 4-H or FFA member, ages 14 to 18. Winners will be awarded a $500 college scholarship. Entries must be submitted to the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension in Routt County office by April 9.
