Friday’s article recapping the inaugural season of the girls high school golf team was truly a breath of fresh air.

The accompanying picture captured the team’s spirit and enthusiasm, and kudos to Coach Shannon Hanley for creating a unique program that included multiple disciplines from yoga to nutrition — knowledge that will last a lifetime.

Their positive outlook was clearly apparent in this quote by one of the girls, “I’m just excited to go out there and do my best. I’m not concerned about winning, just having fun.”

Congratulations, ladies, and best wishes as your team continues to grow, develop new skills and have fun.
