Late-night skid steer noise: The Record for Saturday, Dec. 14

1:40 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers responded to a report of trespassing at a business in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. An intoxicated person that had previously been reported for trespassing had returned. An ambulance was called, and they were transported to the hospital. Officers also issued the individual a summons for trespassing.

5:09 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters responded to a report of bleeding in the 31700 block of Red Stag Lane.



7:49 a.m. Officers responded to a noninjury motor vehicle crash at Lincoln Avenue and 10th Street.

9:06 a.m. A car stuck in a snow bank at Burgess Creek Road and Christie Drive was reported to officers. A passerby noticed the car and was concerned the driver needed assistance. They later called back to say the car had gotten unstuck.



9:35 a.m. Officers received a report of harassment in the 2600 block of Alpenglow Way.

10:12 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to motorist assist call at mile marker 125 along U.S. Highway 40.

10:41 a.m. Steamboat firefighters investigated an odor in the 400 block of Anglers Drive.

12:32 p.m. Officers and Steamboat firefighters responded to an unattended death in the 500 block of Rollingstone Drive. The incident is under investigation.

12:51 p.m. Steamboat firefighters assisted Steamboat Resort ski patrol at Fetcher Base.

4:26 p.m. Officers received a report of assault at Christie Drive and Burgess Creek Road.

4:56 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters investigated an odor in the 100 block of Fourth Street in Hayden.

5:11 p.m. Deputies responded to an animal complaint in the 27500 block of Winchester Trail.

6:43 p.m. Officers looked into a suspicious vehicle at business in the 2700 block of Downhill Plaza. No action was taken.

7:34 p.m. Officers responded to a drunk pedestrian call in the 500 block of Oak Street.

8:45 p.m. Steamboat firefighters received a report of someone unconscious at Gondola Square.

8:51 p.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a fall at a business in the 60800 block of Routt County Road 129 in Clark.

11:34 p.m. Officers received a noise complaint at Larimer Street and Diagon Alley. The reporting party stated a skid steer was making lots of noise outside. Officers were unable to locate a skid steer in the area.

11:37 p.m. Deputies and Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters responded to an unknown injury motor vehicle crash at mile marker 54 along Colorado Highway 131 in Oak Creek.

  • Steamboat officers had 47 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Sheriff’s deputies had 11 cases that included calls for service officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Steamboat firefighters responded to 14 calls for service.
  • West Routt firefighters responded to four calls for service.
  • North Routt firefighters responded to one call for service.
  • Oak Creek firefighters responded to one call for service.
  • Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers responded to one call for service.
