Labor named Offensive Player of the Week

Steamboat Springs’ Kelly Labor has made an immediate impact as a Regis University freshman, being named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Sept. 5.

Already having been named the RMAC Preseason Freshman of the Year, Labor scored seven points in three games in the past week, including a hat trick in the Rangers 4-1 win against Colorado School of Mines.

“It’s very exciting. She’s a quality player that will help for years to come,” Regis soccer coach J.B. Belzer said of Labor, noting her level of fitness entering the season and citing that she had started every match and leads his team in scoring, with 11 points and five goals in the Rangers’ five games.
