L. Mauer: Christmas is a fake news holiday

With the holidays passed and our attention to improving ourselves and making the world a little better, consider this:
Christmas has been called the ultimate fake news holiday, since it is widely recognized that Jesus was actually born in the spring of the year.
How might it be if in the interest of truth, integrity and the future of the planet, Jesus’ birth was commemorated in March or April, and winter festivities and celebrations were restored with their historical origins in mind, to center around the Winter Solstice and other wonders of nature and the universe?
