Julie Hagenbuch: Vote for Diane Mitsch Bush

If you believe everyone has a right to health care, that we all own our public lands, our future depends on educating our children and a family should never be separated by the government for crossing the border seeking a better life, then get out and vote for Diane Mitsch Bush.

She is a woman who listens to her constituents, has experience, integrity and the ability to focus and address these challenges. Mitsch Bush will continue to value and protect our environment. She supports common sense reforms to protect our children from gun violence. She will continue to advocate for ranching, tourism, teachers and all the important industries and issues of Western Colorado. Check dianeforcolorado.com to see the reasons many leaders have chosen to endorse Mitsch Bush.

Mitsch Bush has represented Routt County admirably in her two terms as Routt County Commissioner and her three terms as Colorado House Representative. She has written legislation and knows the inner workings of government so can hit the ground running. She won Legislator of the Year from the 2015 Colorado Livestock Association and 2017 Colorado Conservation Legislator of the Year.

Meanwhile the current office holder, Scott Tipton has voted numerous times to take away health insurance, making the insurance premiums for Northwest Colorado double in two years. He has made it easier to sell, mine, pollute and drill on our public lands. He has not held town halls nor does he answer constituent letters and phone calls. We need someone who listens and advocates for the people of Colorado District 3. Unlike Tipton, Mitsch Bush is beholden only to her constituents, not extractive industry or PACS.

Our primaries are Tuesday, though you most likely have your mailed ballots. You can only vote in one party’s primary. Vote Democratic for Diane Mitsch Bush for Distric 3. She is the one that can and will #toppletilton and it’s up to us to give her the chance.
