Josh Baker finishes 2nd for Soroco wrestling at tournament

— Josh Baker finished second in the 140-pound division of a high school wrestling tournament in Eagle Valley, leading the way for Soroco High School.

“He wrestled the tournament of his life,” Rams coach Jay Whaley said about Baker. “It’s just putting it all together, getting better every week. He really wrestled tough.”

Lauryn Bruggink was fourth at 103 pounds, rounding out Soroco’s placers at the 15-team tournament.

Bruggink lost in the semifinals as the team resumed action after a long holiday break.

Dillon Koler went 2-2 on the day.

Soroco returns to action next weekend at Rangely.

“We have some work to do,” Whaley said.
