James W. Landers


James W. “Jim” Landers of Treasure Island, Fla. and Steamboat Springs died April 20, 2001, at his home in Treasure Island. He was 72. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of Purdue University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Jim was a marketing executive with P.T. Components, Emerson Electric, FMC Corp. and Reliance Electric.

In his retirement, Jim was a consultant for Flexon, GMBH of Wilnsdorf, Germany. Jim was an avid skier and president of the Steamboat Over The Hill Gang for five years. He was also a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Catherine “Totsy;” three sons, Gary of Cincinnati, Ohio; Chris of Elmhurst, Ill. and Scott of Denver; six daughters, Cathy Gates; Connie Dohn; Terry Poynter; Barbara Rausch, all of Fort Collins; Janet Tang of Anaheim Hills, Calif. and Nancy Holdstein of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and 23 grandchildren.
