Jaclyn Karolewski: Quote unnecessary

Mr. Stanford, why did you choose this quote: “At church a couple weeks ago, someone asked our congregation to pray for the law enforcement officers who have to deal with the Rainbow participants.”

Surely, someone has said something more rational than this regarding our temporary guests. The Steamboat Pilot & Today did have good coverage; why end it with something so absurd?

I bet you would be hard-pressed to find the editors of the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and The (Cleveland) Plain-Dealer quoting their denominational peers when completely unnecessary.
