Jack Huston: P’burg liquor store

On April 8, Black Dog Inn applied for a retail liquor license with the Routt County commissioners.

In about 30 days from April 8, the commissioners will decide whether to approve the license or deny it. The Black Dog Inn is the former Teters Towers.

The residents of Phippsburg need to decide if they want a liquor store in Phippsburg. This store will define the character of this town.

In my opinion, we don’t need a liquor store that brings crowds of people to a small parking lot next to a school bus stop and post office.

There will be a petition circulating in Phippsburg with which we can tell the commissioners “yes” or “no” on a liquor store in Phippsburg.
