IRENE M. BALSER: 1921 — 2005

Irene Balser passed away Jan. 25, 2005, at Palisade Living Center near Grand Junction. She was 84.

Irene graduated from West High School in Akron, Ohio, in June 1938. She spent the next 64 years of her life living happily with her husband, Al.

Irene was a nurses aide for 23 years in Akron. She and Al decided to move to Colorado in 1989 to be near their daughter, Becky Baker.

Irene was an accomplished homemaker, a very good cook and someone who always performed her duties with a joyful attitude.

In the spring, when the snow melts, the family will gather at Chuck Baker’s home to spread Irene’s ashes in the Elk River, where they also swillpread the ashes of Irene and Al’s son, Larry.
