Introducing Explore Steamboat’s new ‘AudVentures’ series

Explore's "AudVentures" series to feature adventure-filled “how to” stories, where to go explore around Routt County, outdoor-oriented events and even a few personality pieces on outdoorsy folk sure to stoke the stoke.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – In search of unexpected, off-the-beaten-path adventures, I am introducing Explore’s newest series, “AudVentures.”

As a go-getter and curator of awkward encounters, my hope for this adventure series is to experience a new place and share it with readers in an attempt to spark their spirit of adventure, test and push my boundaries, and hopefully, laugh a lot along the way.

In this series, expect insightful “how-to” stories with a focus on exploring Routt County, participating in outdoor-oriented events and even a few personality pieces on outdoorsy folks sure to stoke the stoke.

Previous columns – canyoneering in Zion National Park, ice climbing Fish Creek Falls, skiing with ski legend Kim Reichhelm – along with feedback from readers inspired this series.

“AudVentures” is will shed some light on why we choose to live in a place like Steamboat Springs.

Life here is an adventure in itself, and nothing inspires adventure more than the ability to learn from extraordinary people and inspiring places.

Share your ideas of places yet to be explored and adventures you hope to embark on by emailing me at adwyer@steamboattoday.com.
