OAK CREEKJane Reece of Oak Creek received an honorable mention for her entry in this year’s “Colorado it’s Agricultural” photography contest. Only seven other entrants across the state received an honorable mention. The amateur contest, which began in 1998, is sponsored by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, the Colorado Farmer-Stockman magazine, the AgInsights Committee and Kodak. Photographers are asked to capture the spirit of Colorado agriculture.

“The judges are always impressed by the quality of the photographs,” said Wendy White, marketing specialist for the state Agriculture Department. “We had about 100 entries that depicted nearly every aspect of Colorado agriculture.”
