Identities confirmed in Sunday’s fatal U.S. 40 crash
Colorado State Patrol has confirmed the identities of all people involved in Sunday’s fatal accident on U.S. Highway 40 west of Steamboat Springs between Steamboat and Milner.
Emily Dealy, 34, of Steamboat, was a passenger in the crash involving a Ford F-150 and a Ford F-250 at about 12:09 p.m. Sunday. Dealy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 65-year-old man involved in the accident who was driving the Ford F250 was Steven O’Brien of Littleton. The 36-year-old who was the driver of the F150 has been identified as Michael Dealy. Emily Dealy was the passenger in the F150.
The crash was reported at mile marker 126 on U.S. 40 just west of Steamboat. According to CSP, investigators do not believe that alcohol, drugs or excessive speed were factors in the crash.
Emily Dealy was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
This marks the third fatal wreck on U.S. 40 this year.
