Routt County children invited to write letters to Santa Claus
The Steamboat Pilot & Today and Main Street Steamboat are partnering to again collect Dear Santa letters from children during the holiday season. Kids are invited to drop off their letters to Santa at the Santa Hut, located on the front lawn of Bank of the West on Lincoln Avenue, or at the newspaper office, 1901 Curve Plaza. Letters can also be emailed to Editor Lisa Schlichtman at email@example.com. Letters must be dropped off or emailed by Monday, Dec. 18 for publication in the Sunday, Dec. 24 issue of the newspaper.
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center seeks volunteers
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center is seeking caring people to join its volunteer team. Openings are available in the following programs: day surgery support, front desk at the Outpatient Pavilion and the music program. Help available for 2018 insurance open enrollment period
Individuals who need health insurance or need to renew their plans must do so by Jan. 12, 2018. Colorado is among several states that have extended open enrollment past the federal deadline of Dec. 15.
Financial help is still available to lower monthly premiums in 2018, and free in-person assistance is available. Those who are already enrolled may need to renew your plan to retain coverage. There are tax penalties for not having health insurance in 2018.
Individuals must enroll or renew their plans by Dec. 15 for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2018. Jan. 12 is the last day to enroll for 2018 coverage.
