— Steve Dawes, president of the Healthcare Foundation of the Yampa Valley, is leaving that post to assume the role of chairman of the foundation’s Board of Directors.

Dawes will replace Fred Wolf as chairman of the board; Wolf will remain as a board member.

“I have been proud to have served in this capacity and look forward to now offering my volunteer efforts in support of the Healthcare Foundation and Yampa Valley Medical Center,” Dawes said.

Dawes had been president of the foundation since July 2004. The foundation raises money for Yampa Valley Medical Center.

Wolf praised the community support enjoyed by the foundation.

“The costs of providing high-quality health care services and up-to-date technology cannot be provided without the philanthropic support of our community,” he said. “We appreciate the support and confidence our donors place in the foundation so we can help assure the level of care we all expect in the Yampa Valley.”
