Helen C. Foster

Former Steamboat Springs resident Helen Foster passed away Dec. 19, 2004, at her home in Grand Junction. She was 76.

Helen was born July 12, 1928, in Cohoes, N.Y., to William John Pierre and Lena Ciesla Pierre. She was raised by Grandma Pearl and attended schools in Willsbro, N.Y.

She married Walter Foster on May 7, 1945. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1982.

Helen was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed fishing, gambling, spending time with her family and traveling.

She was preceded in death by Robert Jones and a son, Spc. Daniel W. Foster.

Helen is survived by her sons, Edward Foster and his wife Cindy of Grand Junction and Robert Foster of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Linda L. Beckwith and her husband Budd, Marlene P. Zacarelli and her husband Gary of Clifton, and Shirley Foster of Grand Junction; a brother, William John Pierre of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Helen also was a mother to Linda Foster of Vermont.

Services were held Dec. 22, 2004, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church. Pastor David Huslig officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
