Tara Jill Hefty and Christopher Albert Hume were married Sept. 2, 2000, in Lyons with Father John Elledge and Dr. Russ Messing officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Noel Hefty of Lafayette, formerly of Steamboat Springs and Boulder. The groom is the son of Don and Michaela Hume of Boulder.

The maid of honor was Jessica Kaplan of Bristol, Conn. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hume of Boulder, Alicia Harned of Steamboat Springs and Jeanne Kopesky of Minneapolis.

Best man was Phillip Read of Boulder. Groomsmen were Donald Hume, Jess Gates and Lee Hoffman, all of Boulder. Ushers were Cody Marshall of Steamboat Springs and Kenji Yoshinari of Chicago.

Tara is a graduate of Fairview High School in Boulder and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. She is a financial associate at ABN AMRO, a bank in Chicago.

Chris is a graduate of Fairview High School in Boulder and is a computer science major at DePaul University in Chicago.

The couple will live in Chicago.
