Heather Bird Quinn, the beloved daughter of Michael and Kathleen Bird, died of leukemia on Aug. 30, 2003, at her home in Fort Collins. She was 29.



In 1992, Heather graduated from Steamboat Springs High School, where she enjoyed four years as a basketball cheerleader.

She attended the honors program at Colorado State University, where she earned a degree in equine science. Heather also was a member of the Larimer County Search and Rescue team.



She married Patrick Quinn on Aug. 7, 1999. The couple lived in Fort Collins.

A memorial Mass was held on Sept. 3, 2003, in Fort Collins. Heather’s ashes were distributed on Mount Holy Cross.

Memorial contributions may be made in Heather’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5353 W. Dartmouth Ave. LL, Denver, CO 80227.
