Healthy Eating: Golden milk latte

  • 1 cup hemp milk
  • 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tsp golden milk mix
  • pinch of bee pollen (optional)

What is the craze about golden milk these days? Turmeric, curcuma longa, is a spice part of the ginger family. It contains high amounts of curcuminoids which are most widely known for their anti-inflammatory, pain reduction, cardiovascular, anti-diabetes, and anti-depressant effects. I use Gaia Herbs Golden Milk powder mix, but if you have powdered turmeric around, that works great too. You just need to make sure you add a small amount of black pepper powder to the turmeric for absorption of the turmeric. Warm 1 cup hemp milk. Add ghee and golden milk mix. Use an immersion or standing blender to mix. Optional: For an added allergy season boost, add a sprinkle of bee pollen on top after mixing.
