Hayden truck driver recognized for safety milestone

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Gabriel Michael, of Hayden, has been recognized by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association for 19 years of safe, accident-free driving of a commercial semitrailer.

The safe driving award program is sponsored by Shell Rotella and is designed to recognize and reward association members for their safe, accident-free years while operating a commercial vehicle.

The national trade association — which is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri — represents the interests of small-business trucking professionals and professional truck drivers.
