Hayden High School wrestling tops Routt County teams at Screaming Eagle Invitational

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Hayden High School wrestling team collected multiple top placings at the Screaming Eagle Invitational in Paonia this weekend.

Keenan Hayes highlighted the Tigers’ performance with a first-place finish in the 152-pound weight class. Hunter Planansky wrestled to a second-overall placing in the 182-pound weight class.

The Tigers would also collect five top-5 finishes in the tournament.

Kyler Campbell and Kale Johnson took 3rd and 5th place respectively in the 106-pound weight class. Dylan Zimmerman, 113, and Daylon Frentress, 120, also claimed third placings. Wyatt Murphy, 132, took fourth place overall.

Hayden finished third overall in the tournament as a team with 148 points, the best of all Routt County teams this weekend.
