n Hayden High School’s parent-Teacher conferences are from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today and Thursday. Call 276-3761.

n Steamboat Springs Middle School drop-in parent-teacher conferences are from 5 to 8 p.m.

n Routt County Republicans will hold a monthly meeting at noon in the commissioners meeting room of the Routt County Courthouse. Call 870-2891.

n Colorado Mountain College’s Alpine Enrichment Program presents “Chronicles of people and places in a 33-foot sloop, sailing around the world,” a slide presentation by Bonnie McGee at 7 p.m. in Bogue Hall, Room 300. Call 870-4432.

n Yampatika’s Wee Naturalist program for children ages 3 to 5 meets from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at Yampatika, 925 Weiss Drive. The cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. Price includes snack and juice. Call 871-9151.

n Yampa story hour will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Yampa Public Library.
Story times for preschoolers ages 3 to 5 will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. at Bud Werner Memorial Library.

n Meditation for peace and illumination is at 7 p.m. at the Bear River Center. This is a free, guided meditation.

n The city of Steamboat Springs hosts adult open gym basketball from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Steamboat Springs High School gymnasium. Cost is $3.
n Yampa Valley Recycles will meet from noon to 1 p.m. in the Crawford Room of Centennial Hall. Call 870-7575.

n Steamboat Springs Middle School scheduled parent-teacher conferences will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Call 871-3598 to schedule a time.

n The Routt County Humane Society meets at 5:15 p.m. at the Routt County Courthouse Annex. Call 879-7247.

n The Steamboat Community Players present “Twelve Angry Jurors” Thursday through Saturday at the Depot Art Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., the play begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance at All That Jazz and Off the Beaten Path Bookstore. Call 879-3254.

n The von Trapp children, third generation descendants of the family featured in “The Sound of Music,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Steamboat Springs High School auditorium. Tickets are $25 for reserved seating, $15 for general admission and $8 for youths and are available at All That Jazz, Off the Beaten Path Bookstore and through Strings at 879-5056, Ext. 104.
n A reception for departing Hayden Town Manager Rob Straebel will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Hayden Town Hall.
n The Steamboat Springs Arts Council presents the free Friday Film series at 7 p.m. at Centennial Hall. This week’s film is “The Navigator.” Call 879-9008.

n Parents Night Out, sponsored by the Steamboat Springs High School EPYCS Philanthropy Club, is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at Steamboat Springs High School. For $10 per child, high school students will watch children in kindergarten through eighth grade while parents go out for the evening. Movies, pizza and lemonade will be provided.

n The American Association of University Women’s November meeting is at noon Friday at the Scott Center, 550 Rollingstone Road. Members and prospective members are welcome. Lunch will be served, and tree ornaments will be created. Call Lynn Abbott at 870-6673.
