Hanukkah street festival shines light on Jewish holiday in downtown Steamboat Springs

Abelsky, organized the first-ever Hanukkah Street Festival in Steamboat Springs for Chabad Jewish Center of Steamboat Springs. A large crowd showed up for the event that included a nearly 7-foot high ice sculpture of a menorah, chocolate coins dropped from a ladder truck, a DJ playing music as well as latkes and other traditional Jewish foods. Thursday marked the second day of Hanukkah, which started Dec. 25 this year.
