Group to swear in new member
School board study session scheduled for tonight
Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs School Board meets at 6:30 p.m. today at the George P. Sauer Human Services Center to discuss five agenda items.
At the start of the study session, board members will swear in new member Pat Gleason.
Gleason was unanimously appointed by the school board to take over Gary Buchan’s position as director. Buchan immediately resigned after he was sworn in at the November school board meeting because of a job relocation to Maryland.
Also, the subcommittee organizing a multiyear competitive compensation plan will present updated material to the school board tonight.
A presentation on data mining will be presented along with a North Routt Community Charter School monthly update. But before the update, the board will discuss the agenda, who is invited, questions from the administrative team and a prioritization of questions for one of the annual board retreats.
The school board will go into executive session to discuss negotiations at about 8:20 p.m. and adjourn the study session at about 9:30 p.m.
