Featured volunteer opportunity

  • Steamboat Creates needs help with their Holiday in the Rockies Artisan Market on December 1st! Volunteers will help set-up and tear-down, vendor booth support, Santa’s helpers, and help with the kids craft table! To volunteer for this festive and fun market please email Sylvie at sylvie@steamboatcreates.org or 970-879-9008.

Time-sensitive volunteer opportunities

  • Routt to Work needs community mentors to help create lasting change in the lives of invididuals and families in our community. Those interested please contact Beth Lavely at blavely@co.routt.co.us or 970-870-5291.
  • LiftUp of Routt County has urgent opportunities to volunteer in the food bank, donation center and thrift store. The tasks range from organizing products, assisting customers, sorting donations and picking produce. Email volunteer@liftuprc.org.
  • Advocates of Routt County is in need of skilled volunteer help for repairs and handy work around the shelter. Must pass background check. Contact Marnie at 970-879-2034 or marnie@avdocatesrc.org.
  • Steamboat Creates seeks volunteers to do outreach for Colorado Gives Day Dec. 3 and 4. Volunteers will do outreach to ensure all arts flourish in Steamboat Springs. Email Sylvie at sylvie@steamboatcreates.org or call 970-879-9008 to volunteer.

Ongoing volunteer opportunities

  • Yampa Valley Autism Program needs volunteers for their GrowDome community cultivation project. This youth-lead program will be running year round, so they would love some volunteers for the winter. Call Lisa at 970-846-1519 to get involved.
  • Sk8 Church needs volunteers to donate meals and snacks on Monday and Thursdays for their middle and high school youth. Call 970-879-2222, email amber@steamboatsk8church.com or stop by Sk8 Church to get involved.
  • UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center needs volunteers for their Heeling Friends pet therapy project, to visit staff and patients with a certified therapy animal provided by Intermountain Therapy Animals. Contact Peggy peggy.bowers@uchealth.org or 970-870-1146.
