Gaylon Kent named Routt County veteran service officer
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Gaylon Kent was hired April 8 as the new veteran service officer for Routt County, according to a news release. In his role, Kent will help veterans deal with the Department of Veterans Affairs and assist with filling out and sending in claims.
Kent’s office hours are from 8 a.m. to noon Mondays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can be made by calling 970-870-5469.
Kent is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and commands American Legion District 14.
