Steamboat Springs — The man who was seriously injured in a crash Thursday morning on Rabbit Ears Pass is recovering.
Matt Ingles lives in Grand Junction, according to the Colorado State Patrol, but he has friends in Steamboat Springs.
Doctors at Denver Health are trying to save one of Ingles’ legs. He has had two surgeries, and more are expected in the future.
Ingles is a veteran who flew Blackhawk helicopters in the Middle East.
Friends have set up a fundraising website to help cover costs the Ingles family is incurring. The website is tinyurl.com/jqgqfmb.
