Traffic flowed past the large front windows of Manes & More Salon Boutique, as owner Liz Spinazzola spoke about what her recent change of location means for her Hayden business that started in the back room of her home.

“I would say the community exposure has been awesome,” Spinazzola said while standing inside the recently completed, retro-styled salon she has been dreaming of since starting her business. “We are a full-service salon with hair services, lash services, and we are moving into facials. We are hoping to do an apprentice program with (Colorado Northwestern Community College) at some point for a newly licensed cosmetologist.”

Customers who walk into Manes & More Salon Boutique, at 455 W. Jefferson Ave. Unit 105 — in the new mixed-use development that fronts Hayden’s main street — will find vintage light fixtures, a vintage pay phone and a touch of neon on the walls. Spinazzola said she’s excited to be in the new spot and that her customers should expect the same top-level service as before when they take a seat in Spinazzola’s chair.

“We book online right now, and it’s available through Google, Facebook, Instagram or any social media,” Spinazzola said. “The hours usually are Tuesday through Friday, weekends, or by appointment, and we are already pretty booked out for the summer with weddings.”

Manes & More offers a long list of services including haircuts for men, women and children. The salon also offers coloring services including full color, root touch-up, accent, glaze, vivid hair color and balayage —  a technique where the stylist hand-paints highlights onto the hair resulting in a soft, blended, sun-kissed look. The studio also offers lash services including full set lash fill.

Spinazzola also offers customers wedding services as well as makeovers for events like homecoming, galas and upscale events. Customers can take advantage of the blow out, which is a wash, blow-dry and heat style. Manes & More started offering dress rentals for those looking for something eye-catching for those special events a year ago and will continue to do that at the new salon.

The salon will be open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; and by appointment on the weekends. Spinazzola has been cutting hair for 15 years this June, including working for six years in corporate salons.

“We renovated (part of my house) into a suite, which worked really well during COVID-19 when people wanted more independent appointments,” Spinazzola said. “But now that we’re back in the full swing of things, we are definitely able to hire and are really looking to offer an apprentice program for growth within the community for new cosmetology students.”

On Thursday, Spinazzola showed off the new space that is a blend of vintage touches within a modern setting. There is a large, welcoming main room with two smaller rooms for facials and other services.

“This is my first salon, and I’ve had been doing corporate salons for over six years, and now I’m just pursuing something more independently that is extremely community comfortable and still affordable, with the experience of luxury,” Spinazzola said.
