From the Pilot archives: Downtown Steamboat Springs circa 1894
A sepia-toned photo of the town of Steamboat Springs circa 1894, which was published in the Steamboat Pilot on May 14, 1970, with the caption:
“Interstate Through Steamboat: By the year 1894, the downtown district of Steamboat was growing by leaps and bounds along both sides of the highway. This view is taken looking west and at least one of the buildings visible in the picture is still standing.”
Photo is attached to heavy cardstock with the design of “A.G. Wallihan/Photographer, Lay, Colorado” on the back.
