Free Healthy Homes for Healthy Families class offered Jan. 30

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Community members are invited to a free educational class titled “Healthy Homes, Healthy Families” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 846 Oak St. in downtown Steamboat Springs.

The one-hour class will feature lessons on how to keep a residence healthy along with tips on energy efficiency and tenants’ rights. Participants will be offered free child care, Spanish interpretation, informational handouts and giveaways such as free carbon monoxide detectors.

The class is presented by educators from the county’s Routt to Work program, the Routt County CSU Extension office and Yampa Valley Sustainability Council. Call Suzie Romig at 970-871-9299 for more information.
