FRANK L. MURPHY

1937-2002

Frank L. Murphy, 64, of Steamboat Springs, died Jan. 18, 2002, at his home.

Frank was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Boulder, the son of the late Earnest and Mary (Riley) Murphy.

He married Ella More July 4, 1968, in Steamboat. Frank and Ella owned and operated their ranch at the base of Rabbit Ears Pass for many years.



He had a great love of the land and of his animals.

He was a fine craftsman in metal and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Ella; a stepson, Elvin Hibbert and wife Linda of Loveland; two step-grandsons, Jonathan Hibbert and Clinton Hibbert, both of Fort Collins; a step great-granddaughter, Leena Hibbert; and two brothers, David Murphy and wife Pauline of Cheney, Wash., and Bill Murphy and wife Clara of Billings, Mont.

Private family services will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 84 E. Carson Circle, Parachute, 81635. Peterson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
