12:26 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of shots fired on Routt County Road 50Z near Oak Creek.

12:40 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a possibly drunken person pounding on the door of a residence, saying he lived there and trying to enter the condo with a key. Officers were unable to locate the man.

1:51 a.m. Officers were called to a reported prowler at a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A man was reportedly filming women in the bathroom. Bar staff were notified, and they held the man until officers arrived. He was arrested on suspicion of felony bribery of a witness or victim and two counts misdemeanor invasion of privacy for sexual gratification. The incident is under investigation.

12:01 p.m. Officers received a report of a Jeep driving on the Yampa River Core Trail. Officers were unable to locate the car.



3:53 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue was called to assist Steamboat Ski Patrol at Steamboat Resort after a woman sustained a possible concussion in a skier collision. Steamboat firefighters were called to four other Ski Patrol assists on Sunday.

5:36 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated employee who refused to leave a restaurant in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person decided to leave when officers arrived.

7:28 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to assist someone who fell in the 300 block of Honeysuckle Drive.

8:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 700 block of Oak Street. A person reported a car was running for 15 to 20 minutes with a child in the backseat. Officers spoke to the owner of the vehicle who said they left the car running because the child was sleeping. Officers informed the person that leaving a child in a car is dangerous.

Total incidents: 43

  • Police department had 23 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Sheriff’s Office had nine cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Steamboat Fire Rescue responded to 10 calls for service.
  • West Routt Fire responded to one call for service.
