Fans, parents, players will take moment to celebrate coach’s 30-year career

— Fans, players and parents plan to celebrate Wendy Hall’s 30 years as the coach of the Steamboat Spring High School volleyball team at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The brief ceremony will take place between the junior varsity and varsity matches against Palisade and should take about 10 to 15 minutes. Organizers plan to present Hall with flowers and hope many of her former players will be on hand to honor the longtime coach.

Members of the community are also encouraged to stop by and show support for the coach and her team. Another gathering is planned after the match at the Aurum and is expected to begin at 4:30 p.m., depending on the length of the match.
