Auditions are Sunday for 2019 Steamboat Dance Theatre production

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — If last spring’s Steamboat Dance Theatre concert piqued your curiosity, now’s the time to give it a go.

Auditions for the 47th annual Steamboat Dance Theatre Concert will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at Sundance Studio.

The new show, “Homegrown: Inspirations from a Sense of Place and Feelings of Belonging,” is scheduled for Jan. 17 to 19, 2019.

Performances vary in style from lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap and more. Dancers of all abilities are encouraged to audition.

To participate, dancers must be registered. Membership fees are $40 for those who pre-register and $45 for those who register day of the auditions. Pre-registration is highly encouraged and is available online steamboatdancetheatre.org.
