Entrepreneurs invited to participate in 3 Steamboat Rise events this week
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — State and local organizations will be hosting Steamboat Rise, a resource event in support of entrepreneurs and small-business owners, from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Allbright Auditorium at Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs.

Guests include representatives from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Startup Colorado, the Northwest Colorado Microloan Fund and Greater Colorado Venture Fund. In addition, local resource providers from Four Points Funding, the Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center at CMC and the Steamboat Springs Chamber Economic Development team also will be present.
Jimmy Capra, founder of Click Medical, will present his path through a challenging start-up experience, and each of the participating organizations will provide an overview of their programs and activities with a focus on helping support an entrepreneurial culture in Routt County.

From 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 14, each of these organizations will participate in open office hours at Bud Werner Memorial Library in Steamboat. Individuals can meet one on one with any of these service providers to discuss resources and support programs each has to offer our community.
Participants also are encouraged to attend the Steamboat Launch event from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Chief Theater to hear about Western Slope startups seeking connections with accredited investors in a public pitch event hosted by Four Points Funding.
