Emerald Mountain Epic announces dates, new races

The epic returns to Steamboat in 2024 for its mountain bike ride on Aug. 3, and the run on Aug. 4. It also announced the addition of two new races including a 10-kilometer run and solo 26-mile bike loop.

Emerald Mountain Epic announced on its Facebook page the official dates for the 2024 event as well as a few additional races that will take off on race weekend. 

The epic’s mountain bike rides are scheduled for Aug. 3 with the run to follow on Aug. 4. 

Next year, it is adding a Xena category to match the existing Clydesdale ride. There will also be the addition of a solo 26-mile bike lap in 2024. 

Runners can expect the addition of a 10-kilometer run to partner with the existing full and half marathon runs.
