Dyer dominates at freestyle Nor-Am event

— Ryan Dyer was on fire last week skiing in the Nor-Am freestyle skiing moguls event at Park City, Utah.

Dyer, a Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club skier, dominated the men’s side of the event, winning both Thursday’s moguls and Friday’s dual moguls events.

It was the strongest results Dyer has posted on the series, his first two wins in 28 starts on the circuit.

Steamboat’s Avital Shimko had a strong day, as well, placing second on Thursday and fourth on Friday, her first two top five finishes in a Nor-Am event.

Other high results for Steamboat skiers included Lane Stoltzner’s sixth and ninth place showings, Jaelin Kauf’s 14th and 12th place finishes, and Lindsay Mustard’s 25th and 23rd place showings.
