Don’t be a bridezilla

Bridesmaids typically are sisters, closest friends or future sisters-in-law. Treat them like it. She agreed to be your bridesmaid because she considers standing next to you on your wedding day to be an honor. Here are some suggestions for what to do for your bridesmaids – and what not to do

Bridesmaid Do’s

– DO consider picking a color and a dress style that will flatter bridesmaids.

– DO select a color and style dress that can be worn again.

– DO give your bridesmaids a gift.

– DO spoil your bridesmaids by paying or helping them pay for hair and makeup, especially if you are requiring them to have both done.

– DO spend the morning with your bridesmaids.

– DO feed your bridesmaids before the wedding.

– DO pair your single bridesmaids with the single groomsmen.

– DO a champagne toast before the wedding begins.

– DO select who you want as your bridesmaids. It is not anyone else’s wedding.

Bridesmaid Don’ts

– DON’T make the bridesmaid spend a fortune on her dress.

– DON’T make the bridesmaid spend a fortune on her shoes.

– DON’T pick the most uncomfortable shoes to wear.

– DON’T make your bridesmaids do their hair and makeup exactly the same way.

– DON’T make all your bridesmaids grow out – or cut off – their hair.

– DON’T plan a destination wedding without checking with bridesmaids.
