Donald L. Boettler

Former Routt County resident Donald L. Boettler passed away Dec. 28, 2004. He was 59.

Donald was born June 1, 1945, in Steamboat Springs to Wallace West and Letitia Jane Boettler.

He married Judy Weber on Feb. 26, 1967.

Donald graduated from high school in McCoy. He served his country for five years in the Army, after which he moved from Yampa to Fairview, Mo. He was employed by Fasco for 13 years.

Donald loved his family and enjoyed ranching, especially his cattle. He also enjoyed bowling, elk hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Levi Boettler and his wife, Paula, of Columbia, Mo., and Darren Boettler of Joplin, Mo.; a daughter, Dawn Jolene “D.J.” Forsberg and her husband, Bruce, of Stark City, Mo.; a brother, Ronald Boettler of Gypsum; a sister, Barbara Bakke of Fairplay; two grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
