Don A. “Donnie” Williamson : Best visit ever

I have enjoyed coming to Steamboat Springs for the past four years to visit my longtime friend, Paul Hoffman, and stay at the ranch of Susan Shoemaker.

This year, during the Music Fest, I was driving on Twentymile Road and slid on the ice. I want to thank the young man in the big silver Dodge truck that pulled me out of the ditch on that day.

I had one wheel stuck. Before I got out of my truck, he had a tow strap in hand and was giving me instructions on what to do. Less than two minutes later, he was gone and would not accept any compensation.

That altruistic act along with the great music (and friendly service) I bought at All That Jazz made my stay in Steamboat the best ever. I can’t wait to come back and drive over the James Brown Bridge and spend time downtown in the greatest city in the Rockies.
