David P. Magee: Steamboat spirit of cooperation when discussing Yampa River Queen

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the spirit of cooperation on all sides at Wednesday night’s meeting. The Parks and Recreation Commission was most gracious in their willingness to listen to and understand the feelings of all who spoke at the meeting.

A special thanks goes out to Meg and Katie McNamara for creating such positive energy and fostering that Steamboat spirit of cooperation. That spirit of cooperation is in keeping with the values this town was founded upon.

By updating the Yampa River Queen, we are creating a wonderful park for all to enjoy. In addition to “keeping the Steamboat in Steamboat,” we can look forward to music and other creative endeavors in West Lincoln Park.

I am pleased to have been a small part of the process and look forward to helping in any way I can going forward.

My sincere thanks to all.

With respect,

David P. Magee
