Dave Wittlinger named Steamboat Pilot & Today’s new digital sales manager

— Long-time Steamboat Springs resident Dave Wittlinger has joined the Steamboat Pilot & Today’s staff as digital sales manager for Explore Steamboat Digital Services.

Since 2010, Wittlinger has owned and operated Colomark Media, a digital marketing firm that focused on website design and social media strategy. He represented a variety of businesses and industries, gaining valuable knowledge on how digital marketing plays a vital role in attracting new customers and boosting sales.

“Dave’s experience and knowledge in website development and digital marketing will help us effectively serve the needs of local businesses,” Steamboat Pilot & Today Publisher Suzanne Schlicht said. “I could not be more pleased to have him join our leadership team.”

Prior to launching his own business, Wittlinger served as marketing director at Prudential Steamboat Realty, now Sotheby’s, and worked selling both radio and magazine advertising before shifting to online marketing.

Wittlinger is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing. He moved to Steamboat in 1997 and has lived here ever since.

“I figured I’d give this place a season or two before I moved on. That was 18 years ago and here I am,” said Wittlinger, who is married with two young children.

When he is not working, Wittlinger said he is riding his bike or walking his dog. He also is an active member of the Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs where he serves on the organization’s board of directors. He also is involved with Ignite Steamboat Springs, an innovation and technology group.
