Cross-state runner to hit Routt County this week
Steamboat Springs — CrossFit Games athlete Jenny Labaw is running from New Mexico to Wyoming in an effort to raise money and awareness for epilepsy, and her path will come straight through Routt County and include several stops and events.
She’s planning to hit Phippsburg on Wednesday, rest at Stagecoach State Park on Thursday, run to Steamboat Springs on Friday, head out of Steamboat on Saturday to Clark, run from Clark to Columbine, then finish the run to the Wyoming border Monday.
People are invited to run with her throughout, and there will be a local effort to get runners (or cyclists) to join her at 8 a.m. Saturday.
An event to celebrate her finish is scheduled for 5 p.m. at CrossFit Steamboat, 2851 Riverside Plaza, on Monday.
