Police, fire and ambulance calls


12:31 a.m.
Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. It was trying to get into a locked dumpster and was scared away.

2:04 a.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music in the 900 block of Mountain Village Circle. They were asked to quiet down.



8:12 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary at a laundromat in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza. About $230 was missing from the register. The culprits used a utility knife to get through a door.

9:28 a.m. Officers were called to a report of theft at a car wash in the 100 block of Trafalgar Drive. A person getting a car cleaned claimed 130 pills of Vicodin were taken while the car was being cleaned.



10:28 a.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. Transients were begging for gas money.

11:05 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem at Yampa Valley Regional Airport.

12:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a lost wallet in Steamboat. It was later found.

1:17 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to a report of a suicide in Hayden.

1:21 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 1300 block of Walton Creek Road.

3:06 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary in the 2700 block of Riverside Drive. A landlord broke into a tenant’s house. The tenant just wanted the incident documented.

4:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fence damaged in the 700 block of Oak Street.

4:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car swerving and driving in the wrong lane in the 3700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The car was found unoccupied.

5:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a box truck vandalized with spray paint in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

8:12 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a found iPod at Howelsen Hill.

8:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing at a hotel in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. A man who had previously been barred from the property because of a theft returned to talk to a security officer. The man was given a ticket for trespassing.
