Police, fire and ambulance calls
3:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 1300 block of Turning Leaf Court.
7:40 a.m. A man came to the police department and reported he was punched in the face by a female roommate after he was released from detox. The man also claimed to have a broken shoulder. Police learned the man had crashed a bike. The bike had been stolen, and the 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft after being taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.
9 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious car that kept going by a person’s home downtown.
9:36 a.m. Officers were called to a report of theft in the 2200 block of County Shop Road. It related to a disagreement over when a rental car was supposed to be returned.
12:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud. A person reported using a credit card at a Mexican restaurant in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue, and the person later discovered fraudulent charges on the card.
2:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man mooning Steamboat Springs High School homecoming parade participants in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police contacted the 24-year-old man and gave him a warning.
4:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who smelled like alcohol while picking up his kids from an after-school program in the 300 block of Seventh Street. The 36-year-old man was contacted and arrested on suspicion of DUI.
4:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a kayak and kayaking accessories stolen from a mudroom in the 600 block of Oak Street. The value of the stolen items was $1,300.
8:44 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who possibly overdosed in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza.
9:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 3000 block of Village Drive. A warning was given.
11:16 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken person in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person was given a ride home.
