Police, fire and ambulance calls


5:15 a.m.
Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 400 block of Willow Bend.

8:58 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help with a car that went off the road near mile marker 12 on Routt County Road 14.

9:14 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a raccoon stuck in a dumpster in the 2000 block of Snow Bowl Plaza. The people who called were told to put a ladder in the dumpster so the raccoon could get out.

9:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of graffiti on a Yampa River Core Trail underpass.

12:18 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail.

1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of graffiti inside a stairwell in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hunters Drive. A van had license plates from two different states, and it seemed out of place. Police contacted the owner, and one of the plates was valid. The other plate was removed.

4:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a campground in the 3700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
