Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:22 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a drunken person in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. No action was taken.
1:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight at a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police broke up the fight, and nobody wanted to press charges.
2:11 a.m. Officers contacted a drunken person in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue and gave the person a ride home.
2:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an elk with a broken leg in Dream Island Plaza. Police called Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers for assistance.
2:47 p.m. Officers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue paramedics were called to a report of a drunken person on a bus near Mustang Run. The person was taken to the hospital and then to detox.
8:21 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a landlord and a tenant who were arguing over a deposit in the 200 block of East Jefferson Avenue in Hayden.
1:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Trek mountain bike with Fox shocks that was stolen from the dorms at Colorado Mountain College.
4:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a New England Patriots flag that was stolen off of a porch in the 400 block of Cherry Drive. The victims of the theft requested immediate assistance from police because they were superstitious and the Patriots were losing against the New York Giants. The flag was not located, but the Patriots won the football game. The people did not think their neighbors stole the flag because they were Packers fans.
5:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a sign that was damaged at a bar in the 600 block of Yampa Street. The staff at the bar contacted the people who damaged the sign, and they agreed to pay $50 for the damage.
6:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious man who was throwing snowballs at someone’s window in the 400 block of Ore House Plaza. Police arrested the man on suspicion of harassment because he had already been warned to stay away from the apartment.
7:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a restaurant in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. Police said the owner of the restaurant and the owner of the bar next door do not get along and were having an argument. Police asked the owners to stay out of each others’ businesses.
11:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle that was stolen from the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The person was too drunk to remember where he parked his car.
