Crews work to put out fire at Steamboat Smokehouse downtown

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — A fire broke out around 7:15 a.m. on Sunday morning at Steamboat Smokehouse at 912 Lincoln Avenue.

Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue are working on hot spots and ask the public avoid the immediate area. The fire was in the Steamboat Smokehouse and some adjacent buildings, according to authorities.

Firefighters are still on scene as of 11:45 a.m., and there is a detour on Lincoln Ave., with a closure on the north side of the block between 9th and 10th Streets.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
