Craig briefs: Young professionals to host Christmas party
Yampa Valley Young Professionals will host a Christmas party from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Moffat County Courthouse. Light appetizers, an ugly ornament gift exchange and ugly sweater contest are all on the roster. The event is free for members and $5 for nonmembers. The public is invited to attend. Bring your own beverages.

Cookies, cocoa caroling scheduled for Dec. 16
Ridgeview Elementary School students, staff and families will sing Christmas carols at the Sandrock Ridge, Moffat County Courthouse, downtown and in the neighborhood near the school from noon until 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 Students may wear Santa hats, reindeer antlers or Christmas sweaters and need to dress warmly with appropriate footwear for the weather. Parents and families are invited to meet students at each location to join in the caroling, then return to the Ridgeview cafeteria between 1 and 2 p.m. for cocoa and cookies.
After the event, parents may check students out at the office. Buses will run on the regular schedule. For more information, call the school at 970-824-7018.
